| Pigment
of Melasma is easy to ablate especially when it is superficial.
This pigment tends to appear on the butterfly area of
the cheeks in early middle age especially in women who
had pregnancies and been exposed to sunlight over a
long period of time. Melasma is removed with a Pixel
Erbium Laser followed two weeks later by a series of
Glycolic Acid Peels to minimize post inflammatory pigment.
While Melasma cannot be completely eradicated substantial
fading of the lesion can be achieved. |
